Dear colleagues,
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is recruiting a Protection Manager to support its refugee assistance operations in Gambella, Ethiopia.
DRC's work in Gambella is focused on responding to the mass refugee influx into that region from South Sudan. Ethiopia is the largest recipient of South Sudanese refugees, which now numbers over 250,000 persons in Gambella, a significant majority of which are women and children. Due to the low chance of political progress in South Sudan, there is a large need to look beyond immediate emergency response in Ethiopia, and supplement relief with longer-term programming around livelihoods and protection. In Gambella, DRC has been one of the lead implementers in comprehensive WASH and shelter assistance to refugees, and it has also a key responder in various interventions in combating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and ensuring child protection in the region.
The Protection Manager in Gambella will manage and lead DRC's protection programming in Gambella region of Ethiopia and support a consistent integration of a rights-based approach into all DRC's program activities in Gambella. For a full job description and to apply, please visit the site below:

Best wishes,
